Hollow Shadows, i must say is one of my favorites as well.. but the funny thing, is it never made sense to me until a few months ago while sitting in church and it just hit me, dont ask me why, haha.. but Hollow Shadows basically describes life, going through the motions, but not truly living. the "Hollow Shadows" are basically a time in life where a particular person wasn't completely walking with God and they were confused, unsure about things and looking... i'll go ahead and break down the chorus for ya

"I'm lost again I must have been preoccupied.." - (preoccupied with the meaningless worldly things..lost meaning im not walking with God)

"..to see, the beauty of your smile and your eyes.
It shines throughout the room." - (basically just describing the beauty of God.)

"It's all been left in hollow shadows." - (and as i described above, hollow shadows, a confused time in life not walking with God.)

well i hope that kinda clears up the meaning of the song for you.. it kinda helps when hearing a song when you know the meaning and intent behind it.. i liked the song before i found the meaning, but i like it even more now that ive found what it truly stands for. (i find it odd that i didnt understand it while writing it though.. but at the same time, thats awesome.. that proves God was the driving force in it all.) take care man and thanks for listening!
